Fort Meade Community Credit Union
Celebrating 61 years of service to the Fort Meade Community
This institution started in 1947 as the Second Army Employees Credit Union. The Credit Union has
been supporting our military personnel and Federal Civilian Employees through the Korean Conflict,
Vietnam, Desert Shield, Desert Storm, as well as the war on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq. In the
early 80's the Credit Union responded to the growing community in and around Fort Meade by changing
its charter to a community charter and is now authorized to offer membership to individuals within
25 square miles of Fort Meade.
On Wednesday, March 19, 2008 the Credit Union held its annual open house. The membership re-elected
Col. Ira Snell US Army retired, Myrna Hayley, Al Macklin, and Phillip Flowe to the board of directors.
